Why a blog?

I wanted to let people in the Port Moody area know about the great hiking trails available on their doorstep, as a newbie to Port Moody, moving from North Van in April 2011, I wanted to find great places to take my dog Meeko, and I was lucky to find many great hikes, and wanted to share them so that other people see whats available.
